Our Overhaul Process
Each valve we repair follows a pre-determined overhaul process as agreed upon with our clients and varies based on the complexity and style of each valve. A standard overhaul process is:
- As found pressure and stroke testing – varies based on valve style
- Strip, inspect and report findings
- Overhaul of valve
- Installation of any spare parts, either free issued or supplied by Multivalve
- Reassemble
- As left pressure and stroke testing – varies based on valve style
- Issue final report
State of The Art Equipment For Overhauling
The overhauling stage of the process involves seat lapping for metal seated valves, which is conducted using our purpose-built lapping equipment. In the case of severely damaged seating surfaces, we can machine repair using our in-house machine shop or onsite in our machinery containers.
